The Project Planning and Management Division (PPMD) manages NOAA's national project construction and construction program. The Division has responsibility for policy development and guidance, program execution and performance management,
and customer relations for the facilities construction program (for both new facilities, rehabilitation and repair), and will be responsible for the development of standard policies and processes for project planning, project management, and progress/ performance metrics (including earned value management reporting). The Division is responsible for managing the total project life-cycle for major (prospectus level) construction projects, and repair and maintenance (FMRS) projects; including planning, scoping, design, construction, and commissioning of new facilities.
The Division also provides support to NOAA programs on non-major projects as appropriate. The Division also coordinates the development of acquisition support vehicles for construction projects, and provides executive level oversight, coordinations and reporting for all major (prospectus level) construction and FMRS projects.
