Budget Outreach and Communications Division (BOC)
NOAA's
Budget Outreach and Communications Division (BOC) serves
as the focal point for coordinating, facilitating,
reviewing and tracking responses to requests
for information. The Division is responsible
for arranging,
coordinating and tracking site visits and briefings;
coordinating, facilitating, reviewing and tracking
Congressional Reports mandated by Appropriations
bills; and tracking other Appropriations issues
and legislation. The Division provides these
services to the White House Office of Management
and Budget examiners, and the Department of Commerce
(DOC)
Budget Office, and interface frequently with
the Legislative Affairs Offices of both NOAA
and DOC.
BOC directs and maintains oversight of the NOAA Budget Office Website. BOC performs numerous other projects, and prepares several weekly reports, related to Outreach and Communication. The BOC Division also has the responsibility of producing Briefing Books for DOC; OMB and Congressional Hearings; Budget Submissions; House, Senate and Full Committee Markup.
