Systems Integrity Branch

 The Systems Integrity (SI) Branch serves as an in-house, independent evaluator of the progress and quality of the financial system software, product installation, system internal control, quality and assurance testing and operation. The SI Branch coordinates NOAA configuration management changes, as well as DOC and internally developed software releases, approving all software code promotions to the NOAA CBS production environment.  The SI Branch develops and reviews test plans and strategies, creates and executes spot testing scripts, and performs regression testing on all software releases.   The SI Branch maintains NOAA’s Activity Request listing and serves as the central point of contact with the Commerce Support Center (CSC) on the Activity Requests and the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).  As the TAC contact, the SI Branch reviews and approves all DOC bureau enhancement requests.  The SI Branch tracks all official documentation from the CSC for NOAA’s comments or approval, including project requirement documents, detail level design documents and project acceptance letters.  The SI Branch participates in independent IT audit initiatives and risk assessment reviews, maintains the organization’s system security and disaster recovery plans, maintains security policies and procedures that support and protect organization security requirements and information resources.  The SI Branch provides second tier help desk support and functional expertise to resolve production issues encountered by the other branches.
