Funds Management Branch
The
Funds Management Branch maintains control of input to the accounting system. The Branch coordinates the monthly, quarterly, and
year-end financial system closing schedule. It
reconciles, controls, and reports all transactions affecting NOAA's general ledger and
Department of the Treasury cash account balances. The
Branch determines subsequent actions to be taken on problematic transactions and forwards
to other offices or organizations for correction. The
Branch coordinates input of Summary Level Transfers (SLTs) and summary level cost
adjustment interfaces. It performs labor cost
accounting for NOAA and processes all labor interfaces from the National Finance Center
and the Coast Guard into the accounting system.
The Branch maintains liaison with the Department of the Treasury, NOAA Line/Staff
offices, and others regarding accounting transactions and labor cost processing.
