The Boulder Building Management
Branch is a part of NOAA's Logistics Directorate and is located
in Boulder, Colorado. The function of the Branch is to provide
a variety of logistical services to the regional client base.
Most of the client base is in the Denver/Boulder area, but
some customers are serviced in other parts of the country
including most of the western U.S., Gaithersburg, MD, Hawaii,
Norman, OK, Idaho Falls, ID, Barrow, AK, American Samoa, Australia,
the South Pole, and numerous field projects around the world.
The Branch consists of a combination of direct-funded and
reimbursable operations, including storeroom, vehicle management,
shipping and receiving, warehouse storage, transportation
management, printing and publications, graphic design, and
employee health unit. The Branch consists of twenty-six employees
located in four different buildings on the Boulder campus.
Common
reponsibilities:
Utilities/Energy Management
Liaison with GSA on rent and building operating issues
Coordinates the Interagency Cross Servicing Agreement
Liaison with local tenants with on-site issues and services
Certifies IPAC bills for logistics services
Represents Corporate Services at local tenant board meetings
Manages the local transportation subsidy program
Controls and issues license plates and credit cards for
all vehicles
Monitors and tracks unreconciled procurement reports and
disposal of excess personal property
Conducts business with 11 LO/SOs
News and Events:
The NOAA HSPD-12 (RAPIDS) badging station
opened for service on June 29, 2009. The office is located
in Building 1, room 4508. Elise Obando is the contractor
hired to perform the badging duties. She can be reached
at (303) 497-6119.
The Boulder Traffic Manager (George Angel) has taken
over processing the shipment of household goods for non-NOAA
clients in Boulder.

Our Mission and Goal:
The Boulder Buildings Management Branch manages NOAA's regional
programs for logistics services programs, as well as local
delivery for facility administrative services to specific
operations centers.
The Branch
has responsibility for policy implementation, program execution
and performance management, and customer relations. The
Warehouse provides shipping and receiving services, packing
and crating, and excess property disposal services. The
Publications Section provides GPO printing coordination,
graphic services, editorial services, self service copier
centers, and fast copy services. The Employee Health Unit
provides a wide range of medical services to DOC employees
onsite including immunizations, health and safety training,
special physicals, EAP counseling, and doctor's visits.
The Storeroom
provides a wide range of supply items to DOC clients, manages
the client storage area, and oversees the liquid helium
contract for the site.
The branch
also oversees the delivery of facility administrative services
all DOC clients in Boulder. These services include HSPD-12
badging, vehicle management, space management, and mail
distribution services. The branch also coordinates with
the DOC Office of Security to ensure appropriate measures
are in place to safeguard NOAA personnel at NOAA facilities.
