COOPERATIVE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT AND INVENTION LICENSING AGREEMENTS UNDER THE FEDERAL TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER ACT OF 1986 (PUBLIC LAW 99-502)

Amended Effective July 9, 1991; As Issued January 23, 1992.

Sections 9.03 and 9.03a. of NOAA Administrative Order (NAO) 201-103, Cooperative Research and Development and Invention Licensing Agreements Under the Federal Technology Transfer Act of 1986 (Public Law 99-502), dated November 13, 1989, are amended to reflect a change in the percentage from fifteen (15) percent to thirty (30) percent that NOAA will pay of the royalties or other income received on account of any invention to the inventor (or co-inventors) if the inventor (or each such co-inventor) was a NOAA employee at the time the invention was made.

These changes were authorized by the Department of Commerce Technology Transfer Board which included representation by the NOAA Staff Office and Line Office Directors at a meeting held on July 9, 1991.
