Mailroom services are provided to NOAA offices in the Washington Metropolitan Area through the central mailroom located in the Silver Spring Metro Center (SSMC) complex, SSMC-3, Room 3106. This facility receives mail from both internal and external sources and delivers to more than 19 NOAA locations in the area via the NOAA shuttle. Mail pickups and deliveries in the SSMC complex are scheduled for approximately 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. daily. Internal mail intended for other NOAA-occupied buildings outside of SSMC is delivered by the NOAA shuttle service. International, Canadian, registered, and certified mail are also processed.

A satellite mailroom is located at the World Weather Building (WWB), Room 106, Camp Springs, MD.  This mailroom services the Camp Spring and Suitland NOAA buildings, offering pickup and delivery of all incoming and outgoing mail.  Mail from the WWB mailroom to other NOAA locations within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area is delivered by the NOAA shuttle service.
